Sean Monguso
I am an experienced media and entertainment professional with a diverse background in film production, team leadership, communications, and education.
With practical experience in people management and a Masters Degree in Human Behavior and Organizational Psychology, I focus on storytelling, team dynamics, cultural analysis, and the systems that shape how people work, create, and connect.
Team Leader, Media Expert, Storyteller
My career has taken me through film production, education, and psychology, but the common thread that connects them all is people. Whether building stories, leading teams, or analyzing culture, I am interested in how individuals communicate, collaborate, and make meaning in an increasingly complex world. My values and experiences have shaped my world view to put people first, and that is always the secret to a successful project.
Projects
Creative writing, storytelling, and entertainment has always been my biggest passion. Through screenplays, series concepts, and long-form storytelling projects, I have always gravitated towards ideas that explore human psychology, society, mythology, and popular media.
Here are a few samples of projects throughout my career.
“Dissonance”
A struggling writer begins to question his sanity when he comes in contact with a mysterious scientist, in a bloody love story that spans the multi-verse.
“Duality”
A wandering gunslinger in possession of a cursed pistol, searches the wasteland for a way to save his soul in this post apocalyptic western series.
“Legion”
Inspired by real world events, Legion follows a group of hacktivists as they seek to expose government secrets, combat disinformation, and clear their names.
Perspectives
Stories are about far more than just simple entertainment. Humans have used stories throughout time to inspire, inform, shape morals, and influence culture. The films we watch, the books we read, the games we play, and the conversations we participate in as a result of these experiences often reveal truths about who we are, what we value, and how we understand the world around us.
Through these essays, I seek explore the intersection of storytelling, media, culture, psychology, leadership, and human behavior. Using both popular culture and current events as a lens through which to examine larger concepts, I hope to change the way we view and interpret media.
